Lindy Barbour was born in Orkney and brought up in North East Fife. She now lives in rural Lanarkshire and is a psychodynamic counsellor, teaching counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh. 

Lindy began writing poetry in a series of workshops run by Liz Lochhead at the Glasgow School of Art.

HDS member Colin Kirkwood's new book From Boy to Man, a collection of poetry, was published in early December 2015 by Word Power Books. 


Colin started writing poetry as a student at Glasgow University and his work was published or broadcast in, among others, Feedback, Scottish Poetry, Scottish International and BBC Radio Scotland.
